About Lamb of God at the Met

Lamb of God, the acclaimed concert work by Rob Gardner, makes its New York City premiere at The Metropolitan Opera House for a one-night-only concert. Conducted by the composer, this historic performance will feature a full symphony orchestra, celebrated soloists—including Tony Award winners Jessie Mueller and Santino Fontana and Tony nominees Joy Woods, Brandon Victor Dixon and Norm Lewis, plus Alex Joseph Grayson, Anna Zavelson, Thom Sesma and Zachary Noah Piser—along with a massive 135-voice choir comprising the joint forces of the acclaimed BYU Singers and BYU Concert Choir.

Epic in scale yet intimate in spirit, Lamb of God recounts the final days of Jesus’ life as seen through the eyes of those who walked with him—including Peter, Mary his mother, John, Thomas, Martha, Judas, and Mary Magdalene.

Lamb of God at The Metropolitan Opera House is presented in partnership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
